LEXINGTON, KY - The Lexington Police Department is reporting that: On Friday, November 5, 2021, at approximately 2:42 A.M., officers responded to the area of Main Street and Oliver Lewis for a report of shots fired. The officers checked the area and did not locate anything out of the ordinary.
At approximately 2:48 A.M., a male victim arrived at a local hospital with a reported non-life threatening gunshot wound. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the incident had occurred in the 700 block of W. Main Street. Officers returned to the area and located a male victim deceased with a gunshot wound in an apartment.
The victim’s name will be released by the Fayette County Coroner’s office.
This investigation is ongoing.
