Methamphetamine Arrest at a Motel in Laurel County, Kentucky during Investigation of an Out-of-Control Subject Complaint

LONDON, KY (December 6, 2021) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Hunter Disney arrested Carl Hollin age 59 of McClure Bridge Rd., London on Saturday morning December 4, 2021 at approximately 10:00 AM.

The arrest occurred at a motel off Highway 770 approximately 8 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of an out-of-control subject allegedly assaulting individuals there.

Upon arrival at the scene deputies learned that allegedly the suspect had punched an individual in the face and had broken out the windshield of a vehicle in the parking lot.

Deputies located the suspect outside and noted that he was yelling obscenities and appeared to be under the influence.

Upon arrest this individual had to be escorted to the police cruiser.

This individual was found in possession of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine.

Carl Hollin was charged with:

  • Assault 4th degree
  • Public intoxication – controlled substances
  • Criminal mischief – third-degree
  • Resisting arrest
  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – third offense – Methamphetamine

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
