Two Arrests with Contraband seized following Drug Investigation by Deputies in Laurel County, Kentucky

Contraband seized LSO 1 13 2022

LONDON, KY (January 13, 2022 - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Justin Taylor along with Deputy Landry Collett arrested two individuals early Thursday morning January 13, 2022 at approximately 12:34 AM.

The arrests occurred on a business parking lot approximately 3 miles east of London following a drug investigation conducted on occupants of a black colored Jeep Grand Cherokee.

During the investigation:

The driver – Sammy Bowling age 35 of Joe Morgan Road, London, KY was found in possession of:

  • Suspected Methamphetamine
  • A glass smoking pipe
  • Several used plastic bags

A passenger – Bryan Wineberry age 35 of Rebecca Lane, London, KY was found in possession of:

  • Suspected Methamphetamine
  • A used hypodermic syringe
  • A scale weight
  • Several unused distribution bags

Bowling Wineberry arrests LSO 1 13 2022

Both driver and passenger were arrested.

Sammy Bowling was charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Bryan Wineberry was charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:

  • Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense

Also, this subject was charged on a Laurel Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest charging probation violation regarding charges of:

  • Theft by failure to make required disposition of property
  • A probation violation

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
