LONDON, KY (January 17, 2022) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Allen Turner arrested Corey Goldsberry age 28 of East Maple Ave., London on Sunday afternoon January 16, 2021 at approximately 12:39 PM.
The arrest occurred on Slate Lick Street in London after this subject attempted to flee from deputies in a black colored Chevrolet Equinox traveling at speeds of 65 mph on snow-covered roadways and wrecked into an embankment and then attempted to flee from deputies on foot.
Following a brief struggle with deputies this individual was taken into custody and it was determined that he was wanted on four outstanding warrants including absconding parole.
Corey Goldsberry was charged with:
- Speeding more than 26 mph over the speed limit
- Fleeing or evading police – second-degree – motor vehicle
- Fleeing or evading police – second-degree – on foot
- Driving on DUI suspended license – first offense
In addition, this subject was charged on a Kentucky Parole Board parole violation warrant charging:
- Absconding parole supervision
- Failure to report to parole officer as directed regarding a conviction in Laurel Circuit Court on charges of receiving stolen property
In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court warrant of arrest obtained by Deputy Brent France charging:
- Leaving the scene of an accident
- Driving on DUI suspended license – first offense regarding an injury crash where Goldsberry had allegedly struck another vehicle – a motorcycle- leaving the driver of the motorcycle laying in the roadway and Goldsberry fled the scene
Additionally, this individual was charged on a Laurel District Court warrant of arrest obtained by London police officer Daniel Robinson charging:
- Unlawful imprisonment – first-degree
- Terroristic threatening – third-degree
Also, this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
