HYDEN, KY - The Leslie County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that on Thursday, March 17, 2022 the Leslie County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on White Oak Road in the Asher community of Leslie County.
Deputy Shane Wilson spent several weeks investigating the sale of Methamphetamine at the White Oak Road residence, which resulted in Deputy Wilson obtaining a search warrant.
Sheriff Billy Collett and Deputies Shane Wilson, Bobby Roberts and Kelvin Morgan arrived at the White Oak Road residence at approximately 5:00 P.M. Thursday evening to execute the search warrant.
During their search, located and seized was:
approximately 16 grams of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine, Marijuana, drug paraphernalia, digital scales, large amount of US currency and a gun was.
Arrested and lodged in the Leslie County Detention Center was Michael Asher, 54, from Asher, KY.
Michael Asher was charged with the following:
•Trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (Methamphetamine)
•Trafficking in Marijuana
•Possession of a firearm by a Convicted Felon
•Drug paraphernalia
