GUTHRIE, KY - (April 7, 2022) - The Kentucky State Police is reporting that: KSP Post 2 was contacted by the Guthrie Police Department during the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 6, 2022, in regards to a collision taking place involving a pedestrian.
Detectives arrived on the scene and determined a Hispanic male, approximately 30-40 years old, was walking in the 9000 block of US 79 (Russellville Road) when he was struck by an unknown vehicle.
Todd County Coroner, Timothy Wells determined the male was deceased on the scene.
It was determined the male did not have any identifying information with him at the time he was located and that the Kentucky State Police Post 2 Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the male.
Detectives are asking that if anyone in the Guthrie/Tiny Town area is currently looking for a family member or friend, for them to contact Kentucky State Police Post 2 in order to assist in this investigation.
Detectives are also asking if anyone has any possible information in regards to the vehicle involved in the collision to contact Post 2 as well.
It is believed this collision may be weather-related due to the dense fog, or the driver possibly believed they struck an animal such as a deer.
