As a result, energy costs are through the roof, inflation is at a 41-year high, and gas is up 59.9%. Tennesseans have had enough.
The key to lowering inflation is to stop this reckless spending. It is unthinkable that the Biden administration has enabled the Chinese Communist Party to rake in cash from American taxpayers. Rather than letting Joe Biden award grants or sign federal contracts that undermine the United States, I am cosponsoring legislation to cut off our adversaries. The White House needs to stop aiding and abetting the New Axis of Evil and start putting America first.
I was in Rhea, Bledsoe, Sequatchie, Hamilton, and Marion counties last Friday, and the number one concern I heard about was inflation. The rising costs of fertilizer prices and supply chain issues have farmers panicking about how they’ll get their crops in the ground.

She continued her advocacy on behalf of creators and rights-owners in Washington, establishing the bipartisan Songwriters Caucus and fighting for passage of the Music Modernization Act, which revolutionized music licensing processes. In the Senate, Marsha has championed numerous initiatives on behalf of the creative community including the AM/FM Act and the HITS Act, as well as a tax classification fix for self-employed workers that was implemented as part of the CARES Act. Her in-depth work exploring the intersection of technology and culture has uncloaked the world’s most prominent “Big Tech” companies and introduced a new era of transparency into the platform-consumer relationship. In the 116th Congress, she led the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Tech Task Force, a roundtable-style working group dedicated to the examination of technology’s influence on American culture. Her in-depth analyses of the threats to American sovereignty posed by the Chinese Communist Party prompted Congress to examine legislation countering Beijing’s malign influence on global supply chains, in the technology infrastructure space, and within international organizations.
