Farmington, Kentucky Duo charged with over Three (3) Dozen Offenses during Animal Cruelty/Abuse Investigation in Graves County

MAYFIELD, KY - The Graves County Sheriff's Office is reporting that on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 12:19 P.M, Deputy Jackson was notified of numerous dogs at 6492 on KY 1124 near Farmington that appeared to be neglected.


Upon arrival, numerous dogs were found that appeared to be malnourished with no food or water to be found.

Many of the dogs needed emergency medical treatment for their condition and some were chained up and appeared to have not been fed for some time.

Animal control was notified of the situation and responded to take control and possession of the dogs.

The owners of the dogs were identified as Charles Rodgers and Jennifer Vaughn.

Both Rodgers and Vaughn stated they had approximately 38 dogs and that none of which were up to date on vaccinations.

Charles Rodgers and Jennifer Vaughn were both arrested.

Charles Rodgers was charged with:

  • 38 counts of Cruelty to Animals 2nd Degree

Jennifer Vaughn was charged with:

  • 38 counts of Cruelty to Animals 2nd Degree
