CORBIN, KY - The Whitley County Sheriff's Department is reporting that early Saturday morning on March 11, 2023, Deputy Brentley Patrick while acting on information received during a routine patrol of Corbin, applied for and obtained a search warrant for a residence on Barton Mill Road.
Officers William Stewart and Chris Brown from Corbin Police Department and KSP Trooper Logan Mallory assisted with the execution of the Search Warrant.
Drug evidence including suspected Methamphetamine and Heroin was located and seized by law enforcement on scene.
Two occupants of the home, Tabitha Ariel Harmon, age 32 of Corbin, KY and Derek Austin Rains, age 28 of Corbin, KY were arrested in connection to the evidence obtained.

Tabitha Harmon was charged with:
- POSS CONT SUB 1ST DEG, 1ST OFF (METHAMPHETAMINE)
- POSS CONT SUB 1ST DEG 1ST OFF (HEROIN)
- DRUG PARAPHERNALIA - BUY/POSSESS
Derek Rains was charged with:
- POSS CONT SUB 1ST DEG, 1ST OFF (METHAMPHETAMINE)
- DRUG PARAPHERNALIA - BUY/POSSESS
Both individuals were lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
