OWINGSVILLE, KY (April 24, 2023) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) is reporting that on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at approximately 7:30 P.M., KSP Post 8, Morehead received a call for assistance with a single vehicle fatal collision from Bath County Dispatch.
The collision occurred on Oakley Pebble Road in Bath County.
It was determined Steve Clarke, 57 years of age from Owingsville was traveling west on Oakley Pebble Road in a 2006 Honda Odyssey.
Mr. Clarke's vehicle left the right side of the roadway striking an earth embankment before coming to rest on its side.
Mr. Clarke was pronounced deceased at the scene by Bath County Coroner Andrew Owens. The passenger in the vehicle, Patsy Clarke from Owingsville was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
KSP was assisted by the Bath county Sheriff’s Department, Bath County EMS and Bath County Fire and Rescue.
This collision remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police, Morehead.
