LONDON, KY (May 8, 2023) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Greg Poynter arrested Tarah King age 27 of Williamsburg on Friday night May 5, 2023 at approximately 7:47 PM.
The arrest occurred on Tomcat Trail, approximately 4 miles east of London after Deputy Poynter was dispatched to a complaint of a female subject allegedly acting disoriented there.
Upon arrival at the scene Deputy Poynter located this subject walking along the roadway and noted she appeared disoriented.
An investigation was conducted and this subject was determined to be under the influence.
In addition, it was determined this subject was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
Tarah King was charged with:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
In addition, this subject was charged on a Whitley Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Criminal abuse – first-degree – child 12 or under
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
