Wanted Burglary Suspect Captured in Southeast Kentucky

WILLIAMSBURG, KY - According to the Whitley County Sheriff's Department, a wanted burglary suspect reported as being armed and dangerous has been captured.

With assistance from the public, William J. Bennett age 32 was taken into custody without Incident on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. 

William Bennett is charged with:

  • BURGLARY, 1ST DEGREE

This individual is lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center and according to the facility Jailtracker, is being held on a $15,000.00 CASH bond with a court date set for May 22, 2023 in Williamsburg District Court at 9:00 A.M.

Whitley County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information in reference to the locationWilliam J. Bennett (age 32). Bennett is currently wanted for Burglary 1st degree involving firearms.
The offense occurred on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 on Tyes Ferry in the Rockhold community. Bennett has been reported as being armed and dangerous. Bennett’s physical description follows: height 5’ 10”,  weight 134 pounds, brown hair, and blue eyes.
