LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Cyruss McVey along with Deputy Josh Velasco and Deputy Stephen Walker arrested Steven Angel age 39 of London on Sunday night June 4, 2023 approximately 8:00 PM.
The arrest occurred off Fariston Road, approximately 3 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a burglary complaint there.
Deputies made contact with the female victim there and learned that when she came home and walked into the bedroom she observed a male subject standing next to the back door.
When she retrieved a firearm, the male subject fled.
Deputies canvassed the area and located the suspect hiding in some shrubs in the backyard of the property there.
An investigation was conducted and this individual was determined to be under the influence.
Steven Angel was charged with:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
- Criminal trespass – first-degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
