LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Allen Turner arrested Robbie Baker age 44 of Williamsburg on Thursday afternoon June 8, 2023 at approximately 1:37 PM.
The arrest occurred on Tomcat Trail, approximately 6 miles east of London following a traffic stop conducted by Deputy Turner after information was developed on this wanted subject’s whereabouts.
Following the arrest, this subject was transported to the Laurel County Sheriff's Office where Detective Robert Reed, the case officer, charged this individual on a Laurel Circuit Court indictment warrant of arrest charging:
- Complicity to commit robbery – first-degree
- Persistent felony offender I regarding an investigation conducted by Detective Reed into an armed robbery which occurred at a business off Highway 770 on Friday, March 17, 2023.
The Sheriff's office had sought information from citizens after surveillance photos of involved suspects were placed on the Sheriff's office Facebook page then and sent to local media outlets.
Information was developed as a result. Detective Reed presented this case to the Laurel County Grand Jury.
In addition, this subject was charged on a Kentucky parole board parole violation warrant charging:
- Absconding parole supervision
- Failure to report to parole officer as directed
- New felony arrest regarding a conviction in Laurel County and Jefferson Circuit Court on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine;
- Receiving stolen property
- Burglary – third-degree
- Escape – second-degree
- Theft by unlawful taking
In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Flagrant nonsupport
Also, the subject was charged on a second Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Flagrant nonsupport
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
