LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Byron Grimes along with Deputy Josh Velasco arrested Albert E. Moore age 48 of London on Monday night July 10, 2023 at approximately 10:12 PM.
The arrest occurred off East 3rd St. in London after deputies arrived at the residence to serve an arrest warrant for assault.
The individual wanted on the outstanding warrant answered the door at the residence and failed to comply with the officer's commands when told that he was wanted on an arrest warrant.
The wanted individual threatened deputies while continuing to resist their commands, and created a disturbance.
Following a brief struggle with the officers, the subject was taken into custody.
Albert Moore was charged with:
- Terroristic threatening – third-degree
- Resisting arrest
- Menacing
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
In addition, this individual was charged on a Laurel District Court complaint warrant of arrest charging:
- Assault – 4th degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
