LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: A traffic fatality investigation has resulted in a murder arrest in Laurel County.
Presently, details are very sketchy. However, we do know that Wesley Neil Allen, age 29 has been arrested and charged with murder.
According to JailTracker, Allen was booked into the Laurel County Correctional Center at 2:52 AM on Wednesday morning, November 29, 2023.
Wesley Allen is charged with:
- Murder
This individual is lodged the Laurel County Correctional Center, held on a $250,000.00 CASH bond with court date pending.

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Accident Reconstructionist Deputy Brad Mink is investigating a two vehicle single traffic fatality which occurred on KY 192 approximately 4 miles west of London on Tuesday night November 28, 2023 at approximately 10:17 PM.
The investigating deputy reports that apparently a silver colored GMC pickup driven by Wesley Allen was westbound on KY 192 and crossed the centerline striking a silver colored Honda civic headon driven by Fred Johnson .
- The silver colored GMC pickup had one occupant -the driver identified as: Wesley N. Allen age 29 of London – transported to St. Joseph Hospital London for treatment of possible injuries – treated and released.
- The silver colored Honda Civic had one occupant the driver identified as: Fred R. Johnson age 64 of London pronounced deceased at the scene by staff of the Laurel County Coroner's office.
The driver of the GMC pickup – Wesley N. Allen was arrested and charged with murder.
Preliminary investigation indicates alcohol involvement is suspected regarding Wesley N. Allen.
Allen was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Facility.
