LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Nate Bishop along with London City Police Officer Hobie Daugherty and Officer Jared Hale arrested Eddie Parsley II age 36 of London on Saturday afternoon February 3, 2024 at approximately 5:02 PM.
The arrest occurred at a residence off Somerset Road, approximately 3 miles west of London after deputies were dispatched to an assault complaint there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies learned that a verbal dispute had allegedly became a physical assault when Eddie Parsley grabbed a female by the arm throwing her onto the ground and yelling at her.
A male subject there attempted to de-escalate the situation at which time Eddie Parsley II allegedly grabbed a club/walking stick and struck the male subject in the head.
Eddie Parsley II then ran into the residence locking the door of the residence that belonged to the two assaulted victims.
Officers attempted to talk the suspect out of the residence however were unsuccessful. The two victims/homeowners gave officers permission to make entry into the residence.
Officers noted that several pieces of furniture were pushed up against the door in an attempt to barricade the doorway.
As officers cleared the residence, they found the suspect in a master bathroom where the suspect briefly struggled with officers before being taken into custody, 2 officers uniforms were damaged during the struggle.
The suspect created a disturbance by yelling and cursing even as he was being led to the patrol vehicle and repeatedly threatened arresting officers.
Eddie W. Parsley II was charged with:
- Assault – second-degree
- Assault – 4th degree
- Resisting arrest
- Menacing
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
- Criminal mischief – third-degree
- Terroristic threatening – third-degree
- Alcohol intoxication.
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
