LONDON, KY - The London Police Department is reporting that on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at approximately 1:51 A.M., London PD Officer Mikey Ashurst arrested Stephen E. Higgins, age 38 of London, KY.
London PD Officer Ashurst responded to a complaint of a theft of a firearm and was given the name of a possible suspect, Higgins.
Through investigation, Officer Ashurst was able to determine a possible location of Higgins and made contact at that location.
Officer Ashurst was able to locate the firearm in question and placed Higgins under arrest. He was transported to the the Laurel County Correctional Center.
Stephen Higgins was charged with:
- Theft By Unlawful Taking or Disposition - Firearm
- Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
