GEORGETOWN, KY - The Scott County Sheriff's Office reports seeing an increase in scam attempts in recent days, one in particular. The phone number (502) 518-7273 has called stating he is Sgt. Nathan Alexander with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.
The caller is telling people they were subpoenaed as a witness and they have missed their court date. He then solicits them for money.

Hanging up the phone immediately and blocking the number is the best course of action.
