LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Bobby Roberts arrested Harless Barton age 57 of London Dock Road, London on Sunday night February 25, 2024 at approximately 10:29 PM.
The arrest occurred off London Dock Road approximately 18 miles west of London following a hit and run traffic crash investigation conducted by Deputy Roberts.
The two-vehicle crash occurred on U.S. 25 South of London after Barton's red Toyota pickup collided with another vehicle and left the scene of the crash.
Individuals at the crash site were able to get the license plate information and as a result Deputy Roberts was able to locate the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle. Harless Barton was determined to be under the influence and was arrested off London Dock Road.
Harless Barton was charged with:
- Leaving the scene of an accident
- Wanton endangerment – first-degree
- Driving on a DUI suspended license – third offense
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – third offense – an aggravated circumstance
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
