LONDON, KY - The London Police Department reports that on Monday, March 25, 2024 at approximately 7:38 p.m., the London-Laurel County 911 Center received a report from a female caller that her husband had been shot and was possibly deceased.
Upon arrival, Officers located the victim, identified as Manuel Lomeli Jr., who was deceased at the time of their arrival, from an apparent gunshot wound.
The Laurel County Major Crimes Task Force was notified and arrived on scene shortly after. The task force consists of law enforcement from the London Police Department, the Laurel County Sheriff's Office, and the Kentucky State Police.
Through investigation, it was determined that the caller, identified as Yolanda M. Lomeli, had shot her husband.

Yolanda Lomeli, age 59 of London, KY was arrested without incident and later lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Yolanda Lomeli was charged with:
- Murder
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
At this time, the investigation is still ongoing.
