RICHMOND, KY - The Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is reporting that Sheriff's Deputy James Clark conducted a traffic stop on I-75 Sunday, April 7, 2024 around 9:00 p.m. for an equipment violation.
The investigation during the stop resulted in a search of the vehicle which led to the discovery and seizure of:
- Hallucinogenic
- Drug paraphernalia
- Marijuana
- Cash
Jeffrey Tipton of Paris, KY was arrested and charged with:
- Trafficking a Controlled Substance (Hallucinogens)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Trafficking in Marijuana
- A traffic violation
Tipton was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
