LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Austyn Weddle along with Deputy Zach Allen arrested Anthony Wayne Shepherd age 33 of Manchester, KY on Tuesday night May 28, 2024 at approximately 7:42 PM.
The arrest occurred off Johnson Road, approximately 12 miles east of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of an out-of-control subject allegedly destroying items inside a building not his own and throwing them out the door.
When officers made contact with the suspect, they noted he appeared to be extremely intoxicated and upon arrest scuffled briefly with officers before being taken into custody.
Upon investigation deputies noted that the suspect had apparently torn both doors off their hinges to the building and destroyed multiple items inside the building.
Anthony Shepherd was charged with:
- Criminal trespassing – third-degree
- Criminal mischief – second-degree
- Alcohol intoxication
- Menacing
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
