MANCHESTER, KY - Chief James QuietWolf Sizemore is reporting that the 5th annual Southeastern KY Saponi Nation's 2024 gathering will be held in Clay County. The Chief states that any George All Sizemore descendants are welcome to attend the gathering.
According to Chief QuietWolf, this year's event will be held on the Ralph Hollin Farm located off Highway 638 in an area without a physical address, therefore those planning on attending will need to follow the directions provided below:
DIRECTIONS
Members coming off the Hal Rogers Parkway should travel North past McDonalds on the four lane, go through Manchester and take a left turn (red light) at Burger King onto Hwy. 638 (Green Briar Road), go about 3 miles and just as you pass the curve at Charlie Sizemore Road, make a left turn and go through the metal gate to top of the hill.
Members coming South on Highway 421, turn right at Burger King (red light) onto Hwy. 638 and follow the above directions.
Chief will be there the day before on Friday the 7th to make preparations and on Sunday the 9th to clean up.
