LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Zach Allen arrested Sammy Reynolds age 42 of Manchester on Sunday night June 2, 2024 at approximately 7:28 PM.
The arrest occurred off West Cumberland Gap Pkwy. in a business parking lot approximately 10 miles South of London after Deputy Allen was dispatched to a complaint of a male subject walking around screaming at people creating a disturbance and armed with a knife in his hand.
Upon arrival at the scene Deputy Allen noted observing the suspect laying on the ground with a knife in his right hand.
As Deputy Allen exited his patrol vehicle the suspect dropped the knife and Deputy Allen conducted an investigation determining that this subject was under the influence.
On the way to the detention center, the suspect banged his head on the patrol vehicle’s interior.
Sammy Reynolds was charged with:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
