SLAUGHTERS, KY – On Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at approximately 1:32 a.m. (CT), the Webster County Sheriff’s Department requested KSP Post 2 to investigate a fatal collision on Interstate 69.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Dexter B. George, 30, of Greenville, KY was operating a silver Ford F-350 southbound on I-69.
At approximately the 131-mile marker, the Silver Ford collided with a red Nisan Altima that was traveling northbound in the southbound lane.
The red Nissan Altima was operated by Krista N. Brune, 25, of Evansville Indiana.
Krista N. Brune was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Webster County Coroner. Dexter B. George did not report any injuries.
The investigation is ongoing by Accident Reconstructionist Detective Brian Graves.
