LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Justin Lewis along with Deputy Allen Turner arrested Ronald Reams age 45 of London on Wednesday morning July 24, 2024 at approximately 10:40 AM.
The arrest occurred on Fariston Road, approximately 2 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communication Ctr. to a suspicious person’s complaint.
When deputies arrived at the scene and located the individual, they noted that this individual immediately resisted deputies attempts to conduct an investigation and at the same time threw an object across the parking lot which was later identified as suspected methamphetamine.
This individual then attempted to flee on foot and following a brief scuffle with deputies was taken into custody.
Ronald Reams was charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Fleeing or evading police – second-degree – on foot
- Resisting arrest
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
