LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Tommy Houston arrested Dennis Addison age 47 of Bowling Green, KY early Thursday morning August 22, 2024 at approximately 12:12 AM.
The arrest occurred on Hal Rogers Parkway approximately 10 miles west of London after deputies investigated a white GMC Sierra that was stopped at a traffic safety checkpoint.
During that investigation K-9 Sgt. Gary Mehler was summoned to the scene and utilized his K-9 to conduct a walk around the suspect vehicle.
K-9 Foxx alerted on the vehicle to the presence of drugs. The driver was found in possession of suspected hydrocodone.
Addison was subsequently arrested and transported to the Laurel County Correctional Center.
Dennis Addison was charged with:
- Operating a vehicle with an expired operator's license
- Prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – hydrocodone
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
