KSP Arrest Juvenile in Connection to School Threat in Marion County, KY

LEBANON, KY – Kentucky State Police (KSP) reports that Sunday night, the Lebanon Police Department contacted KSP Post 15 and requested investigative assistance with a threat to the Marion County High School.

As a result of an extensive investigation, Troopers arrested a 16-year-old male juvenile and transported him to the local juvenile detention center.

KSP Troopers charged the juvenile with:

  • Terroristic Threatening, 1st degree 

The case remains under investigation by Trooper Daniel Smith.

KSP was assisted by the Lebanon Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.   

Kentucky State Police thoroughly investigates all reported threats of school violence regardless of context or intent.  Troopers ask parents to speak with their children about the dangers of posting threatening messages on social media and reporting any concerning information they may come across online.
