LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that detectives and deputies received information about the location of multiple stolen items that were located at various locations in the Johnson Road and Langnau areas of Eastern Laurel County.
During this investigation, multiple search warrants were executed and a large amount of commercial equipment to include generators, tractors, trailers, lawn equipment and a boom truck were recovered. The value of the items stolen was over $150,000.
Arrested and charged with the thefts were: Scott Fowler, age 60 of Lily, KY and Raymond Russell Burkhead, age 53 of London, KY.
Scott Fowler was charged with:
- Theft by Unlawful Taking over $10,000<$1,000,000
- Receiving Stolen Property $10,000 or more
- Destruction of VIN
- Possession of Controlled Substance - 1st Degree - Methamphetamine
Raymond Burkhead was charged with:
- Theft by Unlawful Taking over $10,000<$1,000,000
- Receiving Stolen Property $10,000 or more
Fowler and Burkhead were both lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
