LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Tommy Houston arrested Jeffery Kelley age 64 of Corbin on Thursday evening November 21, 2024 at approximately 5:27 PM.
The arrest occurred off Felts School Road, approximately 10 miles South of London after this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court complaint warrant of arrest obtained by Detective Houston regarding his investigation into an alleged theft.
Allegedly this individual cashed checks with insufficient funds totaling $13,808.75.
Jeffery Kelley was charged with:
- Theft by unlawful taking $10,000 or more but under 1 million
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
