LONDON, KY- Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Taylor McDaniel arrested Dakota Mackenzie Burns age 25 of London on Tuesday morning November 26, 2024 at approximately 11:35 AM.
The arrest occurred off Hopper Creek Road, approximately 12 miles South of London following an investigation conducted by Detective McDaniel where it was determined that allegedly this individual was operating a photography business entitled as: Kynzie Burns Photography and she was taking payment from people for her photography services and then not completing the services or not showing up.
So far, Sheriff's investigators have located 11 victims with a total of $8,172 scammed.
Detective McDaniel obtained a complaint warrant of arrest for Dakota MacKenzie Burns charging her with theft by deception including cold checks and lodged her in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
