LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Bobby Roberts arrested John McIntosh, age 38, of East Bernstadt on Monday night November 25, 2024 at approximately 11:46 PM.
The arrest occurred on Rockcastle River Forestry Road approximately 9 miles north of London after the driver of a Chev. Impala was stopped at a traffic safety checkpoint there.
During the stop the driver was found in possession of suspected meth and stated he had used the meth prior to driving. In addition, this individual was found in possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in the vehicle.
Also, this subject was determined to be wanted on outstanding warrants.
John McIntosh was charged with:
- FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS
- DRIVING ON DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE -1ST OFFENSE
- OPER MTR VEHICLE U/INFL CONT SUB (189A.010(1D) - 2ND
- POSS OF OPEN ALC BEVERAGE CONT IN MOTOR VEH PROHIBITED
- POSS CONT SUB 1ST DEG, 1ST OFF (METHAMPHETAMINE)
- DRUG PARAPHERNALIA - BUY/POSSESS
In addition, this subject was charged on two outstanding Laurel County District Court bench warrants of arrest charging:
- Failure to appear in court
This individual was lodged in the Laurel Correctional Center.
