BARBOURVILLE, KY - The Knox County, Ky. Sheriff's Department reports that on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith and Deputies arrested 44-year-old Gary W. Branson and 42-year-old Laci K. Brown both of Bailey Switch, KY on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for sex crimes against a child.
The warrant of arrest involved both Branson and Brown. Both suspects were accused of engaging an 11-year-old male in sexual acts at their residence on KY 229 in Bailey Switch and was the result of an investigation by KSP Detective Jake Middleton.
Gary Branson and Lacie Brown were taken into custody charged with the following:
- Sodomy-1st Degree/Victim under 12 years of age
- Sexual Abuse-1st Degree/Victim under 12 years of age
- Use of a Minor in a Sexual Performance
Prior to entering the Knox County Detention Center, Lacie Brown was asked numerous times if she had anything illegal hidden on her person and she replied she did not.
While being processed a “meth” pipe and a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine were found hidden on her person.
Lacie Brown was additionally charged with:
- Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Promoting Contraband-1st Degree
Both Gary Branson and Lacie Brown were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
