MANCHESTER, KY - MPD Chief Jeff Couch is reporting that: Next week, the Manchester Police Department will begin conducting "holiday season" road safety checkpoints throughout the city limits of Manchester.
The special MPD traffic safety checkpoints will be conducted from December 23rd, 2024 through January 2nd, 2025 and target driving impairment and seat belt usage along with child safety seat enforcement.
The checkpoints will be conducted on:
- U.S. 421 around the old CBS building
- Greenbriar Road and North U.S. 421
- Highway 80 in city limits
- Town Branch Road/Muddy Gap Road intersection
- East Manchester/White St.
These safety checkpoints are meant to maximize the safety of motorist traveling in and through the City of Manchester, KY.
