FRANKFORT, KY (Dec 17, 2024) – The Communications Director for the Republican Party of Kentucky (RPK) Andy Westberry released the following statement regarding the meeting of Kentucky’s Presidential Electors, whose eight votes went to Donald J. Trump for President of the United States.
"The electoral process has served as the foundation of our democracy since America’s inception and stands as a shining example of a government that ensures each citizen has a voice—and that their voice will be heard. On Nov. 5, voters made their voices heard with a clear mandate, placing their confidence in the office of the president of the United States squarely with President Donald Trump.
"Earlier today, Kentucky’s presidential electors fulfilled their constitutional duty by completing the final step in the electoral process, proudly casting all eight of Kentucky’s electoral votes for President Donald J. Trump. This final step reaffirms Kentucky’s unwavering support for Trump’s vision of putting America first by enacting policies that restore strength, prosperity, and, most importantly, strong leadership to our nation's capital."
