MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff, Patrick Robinson, reports that on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at approximately 12:50 a.m. Deputy Michael Gilliam received a call for service through Clay 911 in reference to a male subject wearing dark clothing walking around private property.
The home owner had followed the male subject in his vehicle to the North 421 Service Station.
When Deputy Gilliam arrived on scene, he began an investigation and spoke with the suspect, identified as Shannon Bryant, age 34, who stated that he did not mean to go onto the callers property and that he thought it was a friends house.
After further investigation Deputy Gilliam determined that Shannon Bryant was manifestly under the influence of a controlled substance. Bryant admitted to Deputy Gilliam that he had used Methamphetamine a few hours prior to this incident.
The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the Clay County Detention Center.
Shannon Bryant was arrested for:
- PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLL SUB (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL)
This individual was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
