Laurel County, Ky. (Sept. 18, 2019) - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Tommy Houston along with Deputy Landry Collett and Deputy Josh Morgan arrested Randy Travis Cunnagin age 35 of Lily early Tuesday morning September 17, 2019 at approximately 4:29 AM.
The arrest occurred on Glenview Road, approximately 3 miles north of London after deputies observed a black Yamaha motorcycle with a possible registration violation.
A traffic stop was conducted and during the stop deputies noted a white powder residue around the driver's nostril and conducted an investigation determining that the driver was under the influence – this subject stated he had snorted a hydrocodone pill earlier.
This individual was determined to be under the influence.
Randy Travis Cunnagin was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
- Improper display of registration plates
- Failure of owner to maintain required insurance – first offense
- Rear license plate not illuminated
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
