MANCHESTER, KY (January 15, 2020) - Clay County Cooperative Extension Service upcoming programs for January, 2021.
♦4-H Cultural Exploration Kits can be picked up at the Clay County Extension Office. FREE & available to all youth ages 9-18. Youth can explore a variety of cultures through this opportunity. Kits will include some ingredients for the recipe, cultural art project materials and a lesson. Week 1: Cost Rica (January 19th-22nd), Week 2: Peru (January 25th-29th), Week 3: Scandinavia (February 1st-5th), Week 4: Italy (February 8th-12th). You MUST call 598-2789 to register and schedule a pick-up time.
♦Cooking by the Calendar will be January 21st at 1:30 pm on Facebook Live. Lora will present the January 2021 recipe from the Food & Nutrition Calendar. Join others that love to prepare new, easy recipes. “Like” our Facebook page – Clay County Cooperative Extension Service.
♦Plate It Up January 26th at 1:30 pm on Facebook Live. Lora will be demonstrating another plate it up recipe. Remember, these recipes are foods that can be grown in our Kentucky gardens. Join others that love to cook. “Like” our Facebook page – Clay County Cooperative Extension Service.
♦Japanese Embroidery is January 28th at 1:30 pm on Facebook Live. We have a limited number of kits that will be available that you can do a small sample. ♦4-H Chefs in Training Kits can be picked up January 25th - 29th at the Clay County Extension Office from 8am – 4 pm. Recipe of the month: Chicken & Rice Casserole. Kits are FREE & available to all youth ages 8-18. You must call 598-2789 to register by January 21st.
