SOMERSET, KY - Sheriff Bobby Jones reports the arrest of a Pulaski County man following a complaint that he sexually assaulted a child in his care.
The investigation began on October 27 when Sergeant Preston Pitman and Deputy Logan Crabtree interviewed the minor victim, who alleged that Jonathan Skirvin, 26, of Somerset, sexually assaulted the victim.
Following the initial investigation, Detective Lieutenant Matt Bryant with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigation Division assumed the investigation into the allegations.
As a result of the investigation, Lt. Bryant collected evidence that Skirvin had sexually assaulted the minor.
Based on this determination, Lt. Bryant charged Jonathan Skirvin with:
- SODOMY, 1ST DEGREE - VICTIM <12 YRS OF AGE
- INCEST - WITH PERSON LESS THAN 12 YEARS OF AGE
Skirvin was transported to the Pulaski County Detention Center where he is currently lodged under a $150,000 bond.
This suspect was also arrested on two unrelated bench warrants.
Lt. Bryant is continuing the investigation.
