CAVE CITY, KY (February 15, 2025) - At just before 10:00 A.M., the Kentucky State Police Post 03 Bowling Green received a call about a single-vehicle collision. Troopers arrived on the scene on Interstate 65 at the 54.9-mile marker.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 operated by William Rutledge, 59, of Etoile, was traveling northbound on Interstate 65. Mr. Rutledge's vehicle went off the roadway to the right, causing the vehicle to overturn. Mr. Rutledge was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Hart County Coroner.
The investigation is ongoing and will be led by Trooper Mason Roten. He was assisted at the scene by the Hart County Sheriff's Office, Hart County EMS, Hart County Fire Department, and other KSP personnel.
