MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff, Patrick Robinson, reports that on Saturday, February 22, 2025, Deputy Dustin Henson received a call in reference to a subject yelling in the road near a landslide that occurred just past a residence on Erline Road.
Upon arrival at the scene, Deputy Henson made contact with the subject, identified as, Billy Wagers, age 38, of Manchester, KY and began an investigation. Wagers was standing near a four wheeler right next to the landslide with no medical emergency.
After making contact with Wagers, Deputy Henson observed he had glossy eyes and slurred speech and could barely keep his balance while standing.
Deputy Henson determined the above mentioned subject to be intoxicated and placed him under arrest. Mr. Wagers was transported to the Clay County Detention Center.
Billy Wagers was arrested for:
- PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLL SUB(EXCLUDES ALCOHOL)
This individual was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
