Four Arrests after Deputies Respond to Fight in Progress in Knox County, KY

BARBOURVILLE, KY - The Knox County, Ky. Sheriff's Department is reporting that: On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at approximately midnight Knox County Deputies responded to a fight in progress on Macro Branch in Salt Gum.

After arriving at the location, Deputies learned that Austin Sizemore and Mikey Philpot had left the scene in a gold-colored Chevy pick-up. The deputies located the vehicle at the Country Store on Jeffs Creek Road. Austin Sizemore, Jamie Henson, Mikey Philpot along with a female were located inside the store.

After checking Austin Sizemore and his vehicle, a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine, a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana, and three syringes were located.

Austin Sizemore age 32 of Scalf, KY was arrested and charged with:

  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance

Sizemore was also wanted on a Knox County Bench Warrant for:

  • Failure to appear on a Contempt of Court charge

Mikey Philpot age 35 of LeJunior, KY was arrested on four Knox County Bench Warrants for:

  • Failure to appear on two counts of License to be in Possession
  • Contempt of Court
  • Failure to Notify Address change to Department of Transportation
  • Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition-over $1000 charges

Amanda Baker age 35 of Scalf, KY was arrested on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for:

  • Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition-over $1000

Jamie Henson age 39 of Barbourville, KY was arrested on a Knox County Bench Warrant for:

  • Failure to appear on a Contempt of Court charge

All four individuals were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
