April 9 Event Featured Trainings from DHS, LMPD
FRANKFORT, KY – Secretary of State Michael Adams, on Wednesday, April 9,2025 hosted the inaugural Kentucky Businesses Against Trafficking Forum in Louisville.
The free event will featured trainings from the Department of Homeland Security’s Blue Campaign and the Louisville Metro Police Department. The forum was held at the Louisville Marriott Downtown from 9:30-11:30 AM on Wednesday, April 9.
“With the Kentucky Derby just a month away, thousands of people will descend upon Kentucky – including, unfortunately, human traffickers,” said Adams. “I am proud to have partnered with federal and local governments in offering critical training for our businesses on how to spot and report trafficking.”
Kentucky Businesses Against Trafficking is a statewide initiative to raise awareness of human trafficking and provide businesses with the resources needed to identify and report it.
Since the program launched in January, nearly 300 businesses signed on at sos.ky.gov and joined the fight against human trafficking.
