Latest Poll: Cameron Leads Field for U.S. Senate by 26%, Trump Campaign Pollster John McLaughlin

"Daniel Cameron is the best known and best liked among the candidates"

LOUISVILLE, KY – A new poll of likely Kentucky Republican primary voters reveals Daniel Cameron is the clear front-runner for the U.S. Senate. Cameron has grown his lead since January to 44%, with the next closest contender at just 18%.

Cameron isn’t just leading statewide. He dominates the primary ballot in every single media market, including Rep. Andy Barr’s home market of Lexington. Nate Morris is completely unknown at 2%.

"The results confirm what we all know to be true: Daniel Cameron is dominant, and momentum is on his side," said Brandon Moody, the campaign’s General Consultant. "While the D.C. insiders and career politicians are slipping, Daniel Cameron is surging. Kentuckians want leaders with conviction, not empty suits chasing headlines."

The poll was conducted for the Cameron campaign by McLaughlin & Associates, led by John McLaughlin, one of President Trump’s top pollsters and most trusted advisors. A longtime ally, McLaughlin has been with President Trump since the early days of the 2016 primaries.

"Daniel Cameron is the best known and best liked among the candidates," the memo makes clear. "Daniel Cameron has earned the respect of Republican primary voters by fighting as Attorney General for conservative values alongside President Trump. As the tried-and-true Trump conservative in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate, an endorsement from President Trump would build upon Daniel Cameron’s lead in this race and win the Republican nomination."
