SOMERSET, KY — Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones reports the arrest of a Somerset man and woman after an anonymous tip on drug activity resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine.
On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at approximately 2:58 pm, Deputy Noah Dishman received an anonymous tip of drug trafficking activity occurring on Jacksboro St. in Ferguson, KY.
While conducting drug interdiction in the area, Deputy Dishman observed a Chevrolet Trailblazer weaving in its lane of travel on Jacksboro St.
Deputy Dishman performed a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the operator as Carrie N. Minor, 43 years of age, Somerset, KY, and a passenger in the vehicle as Kevin S. Hall, 45 years of age, Somerset, KY.
Upon speaking to Minor and Hall, Deputy Dishman requested consent to search the vehicle, which was granted by both parties. During the search of the vehicle, a brown zippered bag was located in the passenger side floorboard that was found to have multiple individually packaged bags that contained crystal like substances believed to be methamphetamine inside of them. Further search of the vehicle uncovered more suspected methamphetamine in Minor’s purse.
During a search of Hall, Deputy Dishman also located money and digital scales in his pants pockets consistent with the trafficking of controlled substances.
Carrie N. Minor was arrested from the stop and charged with:
- Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance 2nd Offense
- Failure to Produce Insurance Card
- Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree-Methamphetamine
Kevin S. Hall was also arrested from the stop and charged with:
- Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense-Methamphetamine
- Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2nd or Greater Offense-Methamphetamine
Both Minor and Hall were transported to the Pulaski County Detention Center without further incident.
