MURDER ARREST: CONVICTED FELON TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN PULASKI COUNTY, KENTUCKY

SOMERSET, KY - Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones reports the arrest of a Eubank man on Sunday, April 20, 2025 after he reported killing his wife.

Deputies initially responded to the scene after Ralph Letner, age 61, came to a neighbor’s residence and told them that he had killed his wife. Deputies responded to a nearby residence where Kimberly Letner, age 50, Ralph Letner’s wife, was found unresponsive from an apparent gunshot wound. Ralph Letner was then taken into custody.

Deputies and EMS attempted to revive Ms. Letner on the scene, but she was pronounced as deceased. The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigation Division was then contacted and responded to the scene.

As a result of further investigation by Detective Branson Patterson, Ralph Letner was later charged with:

  • Murder
  • Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon

This individual was lodged at the the Pulaski County Detention Center.

 According to JailTracker; Letner’s bond is set at —$1000000.00 Cash or Property with an appearance in District Court scheduled for Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 1:30 PM.  

Det. Patterson is continuing the investigation.

Det. Patterson was assisted at the scene by Sgt. Alex Wesley, Deputies Daniel Drury, Logan Crabtree, Evan Whitis, Dylan West, Jared Pierce, and Noah Wesley, as well as other members of the Criminal Investigation Division.

Det. Patterson was also assisted by the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office and Somerset-Pulaski EMS.
