RESCUE AGENCIES CONTINUE SEARCH FOR GRAY, KY MAN WHO FELL FROM CAPSIZED BOAT IN LAUREL CO.

LONDON, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that rescue agencies continue searching for a Gray, Kentucky man was reported missing after a waterways accident in Laurel County.

On Sunday, May 4th, 2025 a boater was reported as missing after apparently falling from a capsized boat in water off East City Dam Road, in southern Laurel County at approx. 12:15 P.M..

The missing individual is identified as: John Myrick age 26 of Gray, KY, wearing a gray and black jacket, and blue jean pants.

The search continues by numerous Area fire departments including Keavy Fire and Rescue, Corbin Fire and Rescue, London-Laurel County Rescue Squad, Laurel County DPS and Emergency Management, Whitley County Emergency Management, KY Fish and Wildlife, KSP and the Laurel County Sheriff's Office.
