LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Bailiff Adam Napier arrested Robert Walter Barnes, age 30 of East Bernstadt on Friday afternoon May 9, 2025 at approximately 12:17 PM.
The arrest occurred in a courtroom in the Laurel County Judicial Center in London after this individual appeared before a District Judge in traffic court.
During that appearance, Sheriff's Bailiff Napier detected the odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from the individual appearing before the judge and conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence.
Robert Barnes was charged with:
- Alcohol intoxication in a public place
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
