Kentucky State Police Actively Searching for Escaped Inmate in Lee County, KY

BEATTYVILLE, KY (May 31, 2025) – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, is actively searching for an inmate who escaped from Three Forks Regional Jail just before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2025.

KSP was notified shortly before 11:00 p.m. last night, May 30, 2025, that Jeffrey Harrison, 43, of Lexington, KY, had been inadvertently released after falsely identifying himself as his brother, who was scheduled for release. His release was not discovered until jail staff conducted roll call last night.

Jeffrey Harrison is described as a white male, 5'9" tall, weighing 138 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Harrison was last seen wearing a red jacket, blue jeans, camo shoes, and a black hat. Harrison is believed to have left the area in an older model white Subaru.

Harrison was serving a sentence for Promoting Contraband in the first degree.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Trooper Douglas Holt.
